Job Description:
The LSU Law Center seeks to hire an adjunct faculty member to teach the Law Office Management class.
This experiential simulation course takes students step-by-step through the process of opening their own law firm. The course uses simulations to guide students through the process of opening and managing a law office, including decisions on whether to start a firm, with whom to start a firm, what business entity to choose, which area(s) of law to practice, how to market the firm, and whom to hire. The course will explore ethical issues, legal tech including case management systems, and common issues that arise the life of a law practice. The course is graded Pass/Fail.
Credits: 2.
Education/experience requirement: Master’s, PhD, or Juris Doctor degree (or international equivalent) from an ABA-accredited law school. Applicants should have superior academic credentials and three years of relevant experience required.
