About the role
- Our Legal team, composed of two lawyers and one paralegal, is forming the Legal department of Solvay Sodi AD in Devnya, Bulgaria, and it is integrated into the General Counsel (GC) function of Solvay Group.
- GC Function’s mission: “We deliver creative legal and IP solutions, acting as an ally to our business colleagues, enabling smart business decisions to address challenges and seize opportunities. We promote a culture of compliance & integrity and ensure Solvay’s position as a leading corporate citizen.”
- As a Paralegal and legal administration Specialist, you will focus on the performance of legal-related tasks, prepare and review legal documents, to support with the company’s and the Group’s legal, compliance and intellectual asset management policies evolvement and implementation.
- You will be accountable for:
- Be a “first responder” for legal and compliance policies (GDPR, anti-money laundering, anti-terrorism financing, whistleblowing, etc.);
- Support the corporate governance and the organization of general meetings of shareholders/sole proprietors and their registration into the commercial register;
- Communicate with the minority shareholders of Solvay Sodi and manage and update shareholders’ databases;
- Be aware of and research the Bulgarian and European Union legislation and supply internal clients with legal information;
- Interact with Solvay companies’ officers and experts and external legal services providers
- Record legal transactions and costs into the company’s ERP system, SAPⓇ (training for that will be provided to you);
- Translate internal documents and provide technical support to the Legal department of Solvay Sodi and the GC function of Solvay Group;
- Learn the operation of a multinational company and its legal management;
- Side with complex legal matters dealing;
- Participate in transborder projects within Solvay Group;
- Get the opportunity to contribute to the activity of the biggest soda ash plant in Europe and positively impact its business results.
- Deliver quality and timely performance of the assigned work related to the scope of your activities;
- Knowledge of and compliance with the internal rules, procedures and policies in force in Solvay Sodi and Solvay Group, such as, but not limited to, the Internal Employment Rules and the Code of Business Integrity;
- Comply with all the safety rules applicable on the Solvay Sodi’s territory;
- Preservation of the confidentiality of the information received
- We offer a permanent contract based on onsite/hybrid (max 3 days/week) working mode.
About you
- Relevant education degree or equivalent in Law or Economy
- Relevant work experience in a similar position (at least 3 years).
- Competencies:
- Fluent Bulgarian and English language skills (German or any other European language is an advantage);
- Excellent knowledge of computer skills (Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Google apps; particularly Google sheets)
- SAP knowledge, although not required, will be an advantage
