Legal Contracts Attorney

The Contracts Attorney II is responsible for preparing, examining, analyzing, negotiating (in person, over conference calls and via email) and revising legal documents (including master agreements, addendums, amendments, letters and other related documents) for the purchase and sale of goods/services, both as vendor and customer. This position works cross departmentally and looks to reduce Niagara’s risk through contracting.

Essential Functions

  • Legal document development, administration and tracking of key legal provisions.
  • Negotiate terms, conditions, standards and language with minimal supervision.
  • Perform contract review and interpretation to support business teams and legal team’s litigation/claims efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records and files in matrices and database to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Train plants and corporate personnel on legal document review process and terms.
  • Misc. legal projects requested on an as-needed basis.
