As an Analyst in the Legal division in Hong Kong, you are expected to be pro-active in guiding our Asia Pacific Asset and Wealth Management business on legal matters. You will work closely with a team of lawyers and paralegal professionals, business professionals across the firm, as well as with outside counsel. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Providing legal support for the negotiation of non-disclosure agreements, engagement letters and other contractual documents for the Asset and Wealth Management business.
  • Working with teams on structuring issues and regulatory / reputational concerns. 
  • Responsibility for conducting capacity checks for private clients, and assisting with the maintenance of client agreements and other aspects of the account opening process.
  • Responsibility for drafting, reviewing and negotiating aspects of HK registered fund documentation, and assisting with English and Chinese written translations.
  • Involvement in reviews of new markets and new products.
  • Interacting with business teams to address legal issues as they arise in day-to-day activities.
  • Reviewing, monitoring and assisting with driving implementation of regulatory developments. 
  • Liaising and coordinating with other relevant groups throughout the firm, including other members of the Legal department, Compliance, Controllers, Operations, and Tax.
  • Working closely with outside counsel when required.

WHO CAN APPLY 

  • Bachelor’s degree in law required.
  • Based in Hong Kong.
  • Fluency in reading and writing Chinese and English.
  • Corporate law firm or in-house legal experience a plus.
  • Able to start ASAP.
